WM Plant Hire Ltd

Dedicated to awkward access solutions, WM Plant Hire operates one of the largest fleets of long reach excavators in the UK, used in marine construction and dredging operations.

From low ground pressure, zero tail to heavy duty applications, our plant ranges from 7 to 115 tonnes, with the longest reach machine in the UK. Our long reach machines are ideally suited for land and water-based operations with a reach of over 32 metres (35 metres with extension attachments)

Specialist attachments, floating plant allow us to fulfil almost every specialist plant requirement.

We provide the largest, heavy duty ‘Spider’ excavators in the UK, with 100% more power than the equivalent sized tracked machines.

We are happy to consult with our customers to ensure that we specify the right machine, using our expertise to assist in the safe and effective delivery of the work operations.

Marine Construction

Marine construction can involve dealing with a variety of operations including removal and placement of rock armour, excavation of long sea outfalls and excavation of cofferdams, including demolition works.

We are able to offer heavy duty long reach excavators with a variety of attachments to undertake even the most challenging projects using our experienced operators, where detailed knowledge of marine construction and engineering is vital and customisation appropriate to the application can be key to efficient delivery.

Dredging

WM Plant Hire has used its machines on many high profile coastal and inland dredging contracts in the UK, Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland and has a wealth of experience in this area.  When it comes to dredging, we have the full range of dredging equipment.

GPS underwater dig profile technology with equipment such as tugs, barges and modular floating pontoons can increase the scope of hire applications to the benefit of our customers.

Spiders

Have been instrumental in supporting works on sea walls where tidal constraints have been a challenge.  With independent legs they have been able to continue working on the sea wall repairs despite incoming tides saving clients time and money.
