Marine Ballasts

Marine ballasts are used in ships and submarines to maintain stability, control buoyancy, and ensure proper weight distribution. Water ballasts have seawater pumped into ballast tanks to stabilize the vessel and adjust buoyancy. Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) are to treat ballast water to prevent the spread of invasive species per environmental regulations.
