Charles Cleghorn Ltd, established in 2007, imports & stocks the IFP ( " Forani " ) range of bronze seawater pumps.   These are purpose-designed for the commercial fishing & workboat industries, being of heavy construction and thus well suited to the harsh working environments of UK & Irish coastal waters.

Charles's own experience with marine pumping, now extending well beyond 50 years, allows him to discuss, recommend & specify the correct pump for whatever application may arise on working vessels, with prompt availability to further complement the service.

The stock now held at the firm's Royston, Herts, facility, including commonly needed spares, covers both engine-driven pump units, with clutch availability if required, and electric motor pump units.  These options include the centrifugal, high output,  AM series models, commonly utilised for bilge / deckwash / fire lines and the turbine pumps, types PC & TS, widely fitted for continuous gearbox / hydraulic systems cooling duties.

Further developments, also specifically targeting the working vessel field, include a gear-type lube oil transfer pump ( single & 3-phase models ) and a low pressure 230v fw feed pump for ice-makers etc.

AUTO FRESH WATER PRESSURE SYSTEMS

Also now available from stock are AUTO FRESH WATER PRESSURE SYSTEMS, featuring bronze body & impeller, HD pressure switch, acc tanks etc., in 2 basic model ranges offering up to 28 lit/min for the smaller AM60 units & up to 60 lit/min for the larger AM990 series.   Motor power can be 400/3, 230/1 or 24v DC as needed.

To alleviate the current crippling logistics costs, some Forani stock-holding has been established both in Ireland and in Scotland.
