With our specially designed brake band riveting tools, we can rivet any size of marine brake bands. One of our jobs involving large marine brake bands measured 5 meters long x 10 inch wide and our turnaround on this job was a few days. As well as relining marine brake bands, Jim Jack Services Ltd supply woven asbestos free brake lining materials suitable for heavy offshore applications. We stock brass slotted countersunk screws and nuts or copper rivets for fixing the brake lining material to the brake band.
We can manufacture brake bands from sample or an engineering drawing. There can bedifferent types of brakes fitted on marine winch applications: Calliper brakes - we can refurbish brake callipers and pressure test, and supply brake pads, calliper seal kits, pistons and pin kits.
Multi disc brakes - we can supply sintered or paper friction discs and steel plates to suit most applications. We supply Wichita, Twin disc, Airflex and BF Goodrich brake parts and assemble marine transmission parts for Caterpillar, Twin Disc and ZF. On a regular basis we reline Hagglunds brake bands for the offshore market. The majority of this type of brake band is relined using our thermal bonding system.
