The Eco-Energy System from Azcue that Cuts your Energy Costs – Saving you up to £40k a Year!

Energy efficiency is a growing focus for the marine industry; as a result Azcue Pumps have introduced the Eco-Energy System for reducing energy consumption and improving profitability – reducing energy consumptions by up to 80%, with reductions both per hour and annually, therefore improving profitability and potentially saving you £30-40K per year!*
The Azcue Eco-Energy System, distributed by Castle Pumps in the UK, uses an AC drive to control the speed of a sea water cooling pump’s motor. This is done by changing the frequency of the electrical supply based on the current requirements of the pump, considering actual sea water temperature rather than the most extreme operating conditions. By using an AC drive frequency converter to control pump output, rather than a valve or on-off control, it generates substantial energy savings.
The system also saves money by limiting mechanical stress, including pumps with longer lifetime, pumps with a reduced risk of cavitation and more.
For those who wish to know more information about the system, briefing sessions will be held on stand 1G41 at this year’s SPE Offshore Europe Exhibition. The stand, hosted by Castle Pumps and Azcue Pumps, will also boast a selection of other products, informative literature, a licensed bar with bartenders and most importantly a meeting room. The room can be used for enquiries, private conversations and other discussions with personnel from both Castle and Azcue.
