Inland and Coastal Highlights Versatile Pontoon Solutions at SIBS 2026
Inland and Coastal is returning to the Southampton International Boat Show (SIBS) to showcase the versatility of modern pontoon systems and demonstrate how marina infrastructure can deliver benefits beyond boat access and mooring.
Taking place from 18 to 27 September, the company will join The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) on stand H208 in the New Wave Hall. Visitors can discover a range of solutions designed to support marine biodiversity, improve durability and maximise the value of waterfront infrastructure.
Among the highlights will be Inland and Coastal’s oyster reef pontoon, developed on behalf of Ulster Wildlife to provide a floating platform for native oyster reef restoration. The system demonstrates how pontoon infrastructure can be adapted to create additional marine habitat while continuing to perform its primary function.
Supporting Marine Biodiversity
The company will also showcase Living Seawalls panels, which can be incorporated into harbour walls to create additional habitat for invertebrates, seaweeds, small fish and other marine life.
Together, these solutions demonstrate how marina and harbour infrastructure can support biodiversity while retaining its practical role within ports, marinas and waterfront developments.
Another key product on display will be Inland and Coastal’s Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) pontoon decking. Designed for demanding marine environments, GRC decking provides a durable, low-maintenance surface with high resistance to wear, helping create pontoon infrastructure designed for long-term performance.
“Pontoons have traditionally been viewed primarily as infrastructure for accessing and mooring boats, but there is so much more that can be achieved with a well-designed system,” says Jon Challis, Head of Business Development at Inland and Coastal.

Inland and Coastal will also sponsor the daily exhibitor drinks at the TYHA stand, alongside daily hub talks covering a variety of topics for marina professionals and the wider boating community.
The company will host its own hub talk on Tuesday 22 September, focusing on how innovative pontoon design can help marinas deliver greater value from waterfront infrastructure.
Throughout the show, the Inland and Coastal team will be available to discuss projects including marina expansions, new developments, Living Seawalls installations and upgrades to existing pontoon systems.
Visitors can also enjoy a cold Guinness at Inland and Coastal’s GRC bar while discussing their pontoon requirements with the team.
