PSM Tank Gauging System supplied to UAE Navy

Thursday, 7th March 2019

PSM Instrumentation is delighted to begin 2019 with another naval project win, this time for the UAE Navy, working in partnership with their local agent in the Middle East, Tritek.

Tritek secured the high profile order against strong competition, and as part of it PSM were requested to supply their complete Tank Gauging System to the Al Fattan dockyard as they build two 70 metre Landing Craft for the UAE Navy.

PSM will provide their complete Tank Gauging System for 25 tanks and 4 draught measurements, using Series 260 transmitters with isolating valves. The system is interconnected with distributed acquisition modules to collect all tank level signals and route back to a centralised TankView package.

In the UAE, Tritek have been handling installation and system commissioning, and the contract marks another success for their partnership with PSM.  It is anticipated that these initial two builds will be succeeded by a further four Landing Craft.

Exporting is GREAT – Coltraco CEO asked to be a 2019 Export Champion and is interviewed by Sky News

Thursday, 7th March 2019

Coltraco Ultrasonics are proud that exporting is at the core of its strategy, exporting 89% to 109 countries. Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter, CEO of Coltraco Ultrasonics, is proud to manufacture in the UK and has a belief that exporting is the only mechanism by which a business can become better and faster than its competitors. With a positive message of continued exporting after EU Exit with Global Britain, Carl was interviewed on Sky News, on All Out Politics, by Adam Boulton:

(All opinions are of Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter, and not of the Department for International Trade)

Honoured to be recognised for promotion of exporting, Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter, CEO of Coltraco Ultrasonics has been asked by the Department for International Trade (DIT) to be a 2019 Export Champion. Export Champions will support DIT with its mission to increase the value of GDP through exports from 30% to 35% by encouraging peers to develop international sales. As shared by the Department for International Trade in the invitation letter:

“We are, therefore, recruiting a cohort of 2019 Export Champions from across the London region. This is a group of 40 successful and inspirational exporters who are willing to share their time and experience and encourage more companies to export.

Export Champions are named individuals at companies that have successfully sold overseas and are prepared to encourage others to consider growing their business through exporting. Typically, this could include speaking at export events, telling the story of your export journey; joining roundtable discussions; providing quotes for press releases, hosting ministerial or other VIP visits, contributing to developing DIT strategies; and providing informal guidance and encouragement to companies new to exporting, for example through media activity.”
